I didn't have no favors from you! Don't slum around me. Talkin' about your prime. What about my prime, Mick? At least you had a prime! I didn't have no prime. I didn't have nothin'! Leg's are goin', everything is goin'. Nobody's getting' no nothin'. Guy comes up, offers me a fight. Big deal. Wanna fight the fight? Yeah, I'll fight the big fight. I wouldn't wanna fight. It really don't matter if this guy opens my head, either. 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood."

Apollo : "Ain't gonna be no rematch."
Rocky : "Don't want one."

Rocky : "Adrian !"

Duke : "He's all wrong for us, baby. I saw you beat that man like I never saw no man get beat before, and the man kept coming after you."

Apollo : "Southpaw jinx nothing!"

Paulie : "I wouldn't sweat you."

Rocky : "He is very upset."
Mick : "Well..."

Mick : "What's "can't"? There ain't no "can'ts"! There's no "can'ts" Now, he will beat you uglier than you are now. Rocky : "Yo Adrian, we did it!"

Rocky : "Nobody owes nobody nothing. You owe yourself."

Paulie : "Why are they carrying him like that ?"
Mick : "He is walking."

Paulie : "Who am I? I'm the unsilent majority, big mouth!"

Rocky : "Adrian always tells the truth. No, maybe I can't win. Maybe the only thing I can do is just take everything he's got. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

Paulie : "I know sometimes I act stupid and I say stupid things, but you kept me around and other people would have said "drop that bum". You give me respect. You know it's kinda hard for me to say these kinda things, cuz it ain't my way, but if I could just unzip myself and step out and be someone else, I'd wanna be you. You're all heart, Rock."

Duke : "What's happening out there?"
Rocky : "He's winning... I see three of him out there."
Paulie : "Hit the one in the middle."
Duke : "Right! Hit the one in the middle."

Duke : "Take his heart. No pain."

Annotation :

Mick : "Cause I think that people die sometimes when they don't wanna live no more and Nature is smarter than people think. Little by little, we lose our friends, we lose everything. We keep losing and losing till we say, you know, what the hell am I living around here for? I got reason to go on. But with you, kid, I got a reason to go on, and I'm gonna stay alive, and I will watch you make good."

Rocky : "Yeah, Home Team."

Paulie : "Hey, Tommy, you're a piece of garbage, you know that? Ain't none of my business? Ain't none of my business? The man spit blood for you, put you ahead of his own family, and you bring these rat bums around here and kill his dignity? Rocko made you your shot you know that? He's the real champ. You're just a goddamn joke. Now, just get out of here before I break your face."

Rocky jr : "Mom! mom! It's Dad. He's on television. He's fighting."
Adrian : "What?"

Rocky : "Yo, Tommy! I didn't hear no bell. Tommy. One more round."

Rocky jr : "Come on, knock the bum out! He took my room!"

Annotation :

Rocky : "That sign's fallin' apart, Paulie."
Paulie : "The whole world's fallin' apart. Look at us."

Rocky : "You know, I think if you live someplace long enough, you are that place."

Rocky : "Is he lookin' like he's mad at me, or is it the angle I'm standin' at?"

Martin : "There's always somebody out there. Always. And when you find somethin' standin' in front of you, somethin' that ain't runnin', ain't backin' up, and it's hittin' on you and you're too damn tired to breathe... You find that situation on you, that's good, cos that's baptism under fire. You get through that, you find the only kind of respect that matters, self-respect."

Paulie : "Get therapy, will you?"

Rocky : "Cause if you’re willing to go through all the battling you got to go through to get where you want to get, who’s got the right to stop you? I mean maybe some of you guys got something you never finished, something you really want to do, something you never said to someone, something…and you’re told no, even after you paid your dues? Who’s got the right to tell you that, who? Nobody! It’s your right to listen to your gut, it ain’t nobody’s right to say no after you earned the right to be where you want to be and do what you want to do!"

Rocky : "Who put this stuff in you head?"
Mary : "Nobody."
Rocky : "Well, it just don't get in there by itself."

Rocky : "Fighters fight, right?"

Robert : "So you nervous about the fight?"
Rocky : "Yeah, scared to death."
Robert : "You don't look scared."
Rocky : "Well, I ain't supposed to."

Rocky : "Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that!"

Rocky : "That bell doesn't mean it's school out time, Donnie, keep goin'. That bell means hell."

Rocky : "Everything I got has moved on and I’m here."

Rocky : "You hate me that's what it is or maybe you're mad at somebody who ain't not here, Donnie, can't defend himself, you know? I understand what you're goin' through, I've been there. I know what it's like to be abandoned, to be mad at everything but you're a better person than that. Forgive him, because ain't nothing you can do about it, the stake is tearin' you. You're still caught in that shadow. You gotta move, Donnie."

Rocky : "You've never been in front of this many people before, right? That don't matter. You never been this far away from home. That don't matter. What matters is what you leave in that ring and what you take back with you. You know what that is? Pride and knowing that you did your best and you do it for yourself."
