Rhona and Leanne are forced into hiding after witnessing a cold-blooded gangland shooting. Wannabe star actress Leanne is far more excited by the prospect than Rhona, who had been planning an escape of her own.

Patrick contacts Leanne out of the blue, but Rhona is insistent that she cuts all ties with her former lover. Meanwhile, nosey neighbour Jackie overhears something that could lift the lid on the girls' double life. In Bristol, the police re-examine Mrs Hobbs' murder case and Sergeant Forrest comes under pressure to reveal the whereabouts of the witnesses.
