S1 E1 • Three Months Ago

During Myongmoon’s Elementary School’s 40th Anniversary Charity Party, there is a charity bid going on. Surprisingly, the items that are up for bid are objects that the top students used before graduating the elementary school. The parents act as if such an event is normal and do not hesitate to bid impressive amounts of money. Suddenly, a woman falls into the swimming pool, and blood flows throughout the pool.

While chasing a wanted criminal, Lieutenant Ha Jeong Wan runs into Yoon Jin and fails to catch the criminal. It turns out that the two have met before, and they silently recognize each other. Words spread very quickly, and the other mothers are anxious and feel betrayed by her since she originally had no interest in hiring a teacher.

Although Eun Young is officially hired as Min Joon’s private tutor, Yoon Jin still does not trust her entirely and decides to keep an eye on her.

Meanwhile, Hye Kyung finds out that Eun Young knows about her affair with her kid’s swimming tutor.

Kang Hyun Chul is taken into custody, and Jeong Wan interrogates him. During the interrogation, he confesses that he was at the rooftop with Eun Young and that they had a fight. He also says that Kim Eun Young is the culprit who kidnapped Min Ji and that he was supposed to get money from her in exchange for keeping it a secret. However, neither Yoon Jin nor Jeong Wan believes this. Meanwhile, Jae Yeol finds out that Eun Young has regained consciousness and has run away from the hospital.

Yoon Jin, with the help of Jeong Wan, succeeds in getting her hands on the original hospital footage, and he takes the USB to confirm its authenticity. She goes to her and asks her if she knew who Hyeon Joo was. Meanwhile, Jeong Wan decides to give Hyun Chul another chance to tell the truth for the sake of his daughter.

Confirming that her mother-in-law, Park Seon Ja, ordered those men to kidnap Eun Young, Yoon Jin confronts Seon Ja. Yoon Jin does not believe this and tells her that there must be something behind the accident that Seon Ja desperately wants to hide. She swears that she will find it out no matter what.

Kang Hyun Chul’s sick daughter, Ye Eun, who had plans to receive surgery in two days, dies. Despite Jae Yeol’s order not to let him know about his daughter’s death, Jeong Wan tells him. He tells her not to trust her husband and that Jae Yeol was behind Eun Young’s fall at the hotel as well as his testimony about her being the suspect.

Jeong Wan accompanies Hyun Chul to his daughter’s funeral. However, Hyun Chul suddenly goes missing and is later found dead after falling from the hospital building. Meanwhile, Eun Young finds out that Hyeon Joo and Jae Yeol had known each other for longer than she had originally thought.

Both she and Yoon Jin go to the store and confirm that the USB stick is indeed the one that was stolen from her. Meanwhile, Hwa Sook visits the bank with her husband, Seung Soo, to see how much money he has borrowed for his failed investment.
