Episode 1

S3 E1 Episode 1

After the accident, Lt. Luke and a few others from the Chosen think that Lex and Bray are dead. Ebony rushes over to the scene of the accident and realizes both are still alive, as they head to the woods. Trudy and the Guardian settle into the Mall. The others are shaken by the news of Bray's and Lex's death, so Trudy asks to see their bodies. However, Luke informs them that the guys went away, giving the others hope that they are still alive. The Mall Rats learn that the tribal leaders are all being killed, and they fear for Danni's safety. The following day, Tai-San refuses to bow down to the Chosen so the Guardian refuses to let the others eat until she does so. Salene storms off after Ryan asks her if the baby is the only reason she married him. Ebony and Lex hide an injured Bray in the bushes, but when they return they realize that he's gone. A mysterious figure watches them.

Ebony and Lex are worried when they realize Bray is missing, but they decide not to go looking for him. May causes drama in the Mall when she isn't allowed to eat just because Tai-San won't bow down to the Chosen. Luke brings Bray to the Guardian. Trudy claims she did everything out of love, so she gives the Mall Rats some food. Ellie urges Jack to find a secret way out of the Mall. Trudy attempts to break Bray, but he won't listen to her. Jack is caught on his way out. Salene and Ryan make up. The Guardian decides to dispose of Jack, but Ellie convinces him that Jack's knowledge of science could be of great use for them. Ellie watches as Jack is taken away on a truck. Ebony and Lex go on a hunt after Pride, the man that has been stalking them, only to end up trapped themselves. They all end up talking and learn about the leader of Pride's tribe, a woman named Eagle.

Bray is having tough time dealing with images of Zoot. Ellie feels guilty for causing Jack's departure, but Dal and Alice try to convince her that it wasn't her fault. The Guardian refuses to let Trudy have more power when he learns she gave food to the Mall Rats, so he punishes her by taking away Brady. Trudy tells the Mall Rats that they will not get any more food until they begin worshiping Zoot. May is sick of others trying to fight the battle that they obviously won't win, and the others realize that maybe the best thing would be to just go along with the wishes of The Chosen. Lex attempts to fish but realizes he's just a city boy. Ebony persuades Lex to go back to the city with her. The Guardian is pleased when Trudy does a good job with Bray. Bray is brought in front of his tribe and forced to say words he doesn't mean, but he changes his mind at the last time and urges his friends never to stop fighting.

Trudy is appalled when the Guardian blames her for Bray's reluctance to bow down to the Chosen. He orders her to kill Bray and prove that she is worthy of Zoot. Tai-San tries to remain positive, but when Ryan is taken away, the others are even more depressed. Ryan is brought to a farm, where Lex and Ebony manage to inform him of their rescue plan. Ryan brings news to the others. Salene tries to persuade Trudy to save Bray's life, but Trudy remembers losing Bray to Salene and continues being cold. As the Chosen prepare to burn Bray alive, the Mall Rats form a circle to help their friend. Pride comes in time to rescue Bray. Salene tells Ryan that she might decide to go along with the craziness of the Chosen. The Guardian blames Trudy for disrupting Bray's execution. Ebony, Bray, Lex and Dal meet with Pride in the woods. Bray recognizes the ring that Pride has around his neck as Amber's, and Pride tells the others that the leader of his tribe, Eagle, used to be called Amber as well.

Bray refuses to accept the possibility of Amber being alive, and the thought of bringing up the pain from the past is hurting him. Ebony tries her best to convince everyone that Amber is dead and buried. Salene and May are keen on joining the Chosen as spies. Trudy has to go through a period of being tested for Zoot. Cloe and KC manage to snatch some food for the others. Dal wants to go to Amber's grave to find out if she's there or not, and both Dal and Bray admit that they had dreams of Amber being alive. Trudy is glad when Luke offers sympathy for her pain. The Guardian thinks Trudy didn't go along with not eating anything. Salene, Ryan and May go to the Chosen gathering. Dal, Bray, Lex, Ebony and Pride find Amber's grave empty. They go to the Eco tribe and are stunned when they realize that Amber is indeed alive.

Bray, Lex, Dal and Ebony are stunned to find out that Amber is alive, but she refuses to talk to any of them and instead wants them far away from her tribe. Amber reminisces about the life she used to have, while Bray is in pain over not being able to see her. Pride asks the Mall Rats to leave the next morning, and Ebony convinces Bray that it would be the best for them. Amber asks to see Dal, and old friends happily reunite and talk about what happened since the explosion; how Amber was rescued by Pride. Dal tells Amber that Ebony and Bray hate each other. Bray refuses to walk away and bursts into Amber's room looking for an explanation; Amber is keen on living a new life.

Bray asks Amber to help out her old friends, but she can't do much because every decision is made by the entire Gaian tribe. Amber reveals to Bray that Ebony knew she was alive after the explosion, but that she scared her off by claiming that she had a child with Bray. Bray denies it, but Amber doesn't believe him. The Mall Rats are annoyed when an outburst from Alice costs them another meal. Luke defends Trudy in front of the Guardian and is the one to thank for finally letting Trudy eat and see her baby. The Guardian wants Trudy to become closer to her old friends. Lex doesn't believe that the Gaians know how to fight so he challenges Pride to a fight and ends up losing, heavily. The Guardian lets Tai-San know that he admires her beliefs. Trudy becomes closer to Salene and May when she offers to relieve them of their duties so Salene could rest through her pregnancy. She asks them to somehow convince Cloe and Patsy as well. Bray tries to convince the Gaians to join them in the fight against the Chosen. He catches Ebony trying to burn an old photo that she used to trick Amber and immediately calls out Amber to prove to her that he never lied.

Bray proves to Amber that Ebony lied to her about having a baby together, but Amber still doesn't claims she doesn't care about what happened in the past. Ebony persuades Lex to leave camp early with her. Left behind, Bray and Dal prepare to return to the city after Amber tells them that the Gaians decided not to join the fight against the Chosen. Trudy offers the Mall Rats a chance to join the novice ceremony. Lex wants to sleep with Ebony but she passes on the chance. The Guardian is pleased when Trudy informs him of how the Mall Rats are joining them one by one. Alice refuses to bow down to the enemies and manages to have some fun while working. The Guardian and Tai-San enjoy a chat about life, and Luke interrupts them, making the Guardian very uneasy. Lex and Ebony rob a few Chosen guards of their clothes. Alice asks Ryan to convince Salene not to join the Chosen, but instead Salene convinces Ryan to join her. At the ceremony, Salene, May and Patsy agree to denounce themselves of the Mall Rats name, but Ryan refuses to join. Bray and Dal are surprised when, on their way to the city, the Gaians decide to join them.

Alice is mad at Salene, May and Patsy for going through with the Chosen novice meetings. Salene claims she is still pretending, while it seems as if the power has gotten to May's head. The Gaians, Bray and Dal come to a secret place where they talk about their moves against the Chosen. Pride is sent out on a search, while Bray starts having doubts about Amber's and Pride's friendship. Lex and Ebony witness their friends being taken to work. Ebony tells Lex that she plans to poison the Guardian. The Guardian uses the death of Patsy's parents as a lead-in for a terrible story. Bray convinces Amber to stay behind during their attack at the Mall. Alice and Ellie are worried when it seems as if Salene has started to crack under the pressure. Cloe volunteers to become a spy. Bray questions Pride about his relationship with Amber. Salene observes as the Guardian spies on Tai-San. Ebony comes from behind him and threatens him with a poisoned dagger, but the Guardian takes control until he finds himself in the exact same situation, but this time Lex is holding the poison. Just as Ebony urges Lex to kill the Guardian, Salene lets out a scream upon seeing Bray and the Gaians in the Mall.

Salene's scream alerts the entire Chosen guard, and Lex and Ebony are prevented from their plan to kill the Guardian. The Gaians and Bray decide to stop the fight and they collect Ebony's unconscious body on their way out. Salene is shocked that Bray is alive, and she informs the others. The Guardian goes crazy on Trudy, blaming her for everything that had happened even though she had nothing to do with it. He decides that it's good what happened because people hate him so much that they want to kill him. Tai-San is pleased when Lex pays her a visit. He tells her about Amber being alive, and she tells the others about the happy news. Pride reminds Ebony that she has to be thankful to Bray for choosing to save her from the Mall. Alice and Ellie try to get Patsy to become a spy. May is worried when the Guardian accuses her of being a spy, so she realizes that she needs to find something to prove herself to him. She overhears Salene, Alice and Ellie talking about Bray and informs the Guardian about being able to lead him to Bray.

Alice and Ellie are satisfied when Patsy convincingly hides her spying between the Chosen. May betrays the Mall Rats by working with the Guardian. Pride teaches Dal about plants, while the others are busy with planning the next attack. Amber forces Ebony to stay with them and work on getting rid of the Chosen. Ebony cries as she explains that Amber will always be the only woman for Bray. Lex kidnaps May and brings her to the others where she tells them of how the Chosen treat the Mall Rats. She leads them into a trap, and then informs the Guardian of a perfect chance for an attack. Amber convinces Dal to join them in kidnapping Trudy and Brady, but things take a turn for the worse when they realize that they've been set up. Everyone manages to escape from the Chosen except Dal, who is confronted by a couple of them. He chooses to jump from a building instead of surrendering and Amber finds him just as he says his final words before dying.

Amber is shaken as Bray holds a speech at Dal's funeral. Trudy is hurt by the set up and thinks May set it up, but the Guardian covers for their little plan. Cloe informs Ellie and Alice about what is going on at the Chosen meetings. KC doesn't know about Cloe being a spy so he lashes out on her. Amber blames herself for Dal's death. Ebony and Lex are keen on continuing the battle against the Chosen. The Guardian wants May to spy on Trudy, so May becomes Trudy's maid, which Trudy uses to her entertainment. Pride admits to Bray that it's obvious Amber loves him. Luke is impressed with Cloe's fast learning technique at the meetings. Ryan accidentally tells Alice and Ellie about Salene's pregnancy. Ebony wants Pride to do something with Amber. Amber comes up with a plan that has her leaving to find an army of people that will battle the Guardian. She visits Bray and they spend the night together, but the following morning Amber decides to leave anyway.

Trudy tells May that Cloe was caught spying and set away to work at the mines. Patsy is upset over losing her friend, but Alice and Ellie urge her to continue spying. Bray is brooding over Amber's departure and refuses to participate in training or any other activity, while Lex, Ebony and Pride keep busy. May sees Tai-San entering the Guardian's room. The Guardian wants to keep their little talks a secret. Patsy successfully pretends renouncing her Mall Rat rights at the Chosen ceremony. Ebony attempts to teach the Gaians how to fight and when she asks Bray to help her show how it's done, he almost goes too far. Alice and Ellie work on writing leaflets for others not to give up hope. Luke spies on them.

Trudy is visibly upset when May reveals that Tai-San has been doing nightly visits to the Guardian's room. Ryan hides a leaflet in his shirt when he goes to talk to Salene and refuses to give away his shirt when she tries to have it washed. Ebony confides in Pride about Bray being unwilling to talk to her, but she refuses to go along with his idea to apologize. Salene confides into Luke about her troubles with Ryan. KC doesn't know that Alice, Ellie and Ryan are putting up anti-Chosen leaflets on the farm. Trudy tells May that her relationship with the Guardian is in spirit only. Luke brings a leaflet to the Guardian, who is satisfied with all the hate, and is keen on making an example out of someone. Ebony apologizes to Bray. Trudy questions Tai-San about her visits with the Guardian, but Tai-San won't reveal anything. Luke catches Ellie putting up leaflets but decides to keep it quiet. Trudy pays the Guardian a visit and tells him that he can sleep with her instead of Tai-San.

Alice thinks Luke likes Ellie and she wants to use it to their advantage. The Guardian pretty much calls Trudy a mental case and un-pure then sends her out. Pride, Bray and Ebony convince Lex to put the attack behind for awhile until they arrange the entire plan. Patsy is scared when she's ordered to take away Brady from Trudy. May is surprised when Luke tells her that the Supreme Mother is easily dispensable, but Brady isn't. Patsy informs Alice and Ellie about Tai-San's visits to the Guardian's room, but Tai-San tells the girls that there is nothing to worry about. KC is hurt because nobody is telling him anything about what's going on. He confides in Ryan about deciding to escape. Lex tries to infiltrate the Mall dressed as the Chosen, but he's stopped by his friends before he can even leave the rebel hideout. He still decides to go through with his plan. Ryan is pleasantly surprised when Salene shows up with fruit and they talk about their future, but soon realizes that Salene is only doing it because Luke advised her about it and is probably only working on converting Ryan as well. Trudy makes serious threats to the Guardian. Lex enters the Mall and is forced to be on the Chosen meeting, where he learns that the Guardian intends to sacrifice Trudy.

Trudy is devastated upon hearing from the Guardian that Zoot wants to reunite with her in death. She begs him to forgive her, but he won't back down. Lex reveals the news to the rebels, and Bray is the only one that wants to save Trudy. Luke helps Trudy see Brady. KC wants to help out with Ellie and Alice's plans. Ryan tells Salene that she has to choose between him and the Chosen. May is worried about her job after Trudy's death, and Luke promises to help out. Luke goes to see Ellie and asks her to help him somehow save Trudy's life. The others aren't sure if they can trust Luke, but they decide to do it anyway. KC and Patsy help the others in rescuing Trudy, but when it's time for her to escape with Bray and Pride, Luke refuses to let her take Brady along.

Luke covers for the Mall Rats after Trudy's escape and gives the Guardian a satisfying story as to what has happened. Ebony and Lex are frustrated when Bray and Pride bring Trudy to the rebel headquarters, but they both realize they can use Trudy to their advantage. Trudy is having hard time dealing with being away from her baby. May is happy when the Guardian allows her to permanently take care of Brady. He questions KC about who yelled out Zoot's name and KC admits that it was him. The Guardian is confused when KC lies that he saw Zoot. Bray approaches Pride with an idea to take Trudy to Amber. Luke comforts Salene. Ebony and Lex are both mad when they learn that Bray sent Trudy away even though he got outvoted on what to do with her. The Guardian tells KC that he has a greater job for him with the Chosen.

May is bored with watching Brady. The Guardian orders Luke to black out Trudy's name over the city and call her the impostor. Alice and Ellie are worried about what KC might have told the Guardian, but he won't say and instead chooses to be smug. Brady crawls out of the room when May falls asleep. Lex is irritated by Bray's bad choices. Alice urges Ellie to use Luke's affection to their benefit. Ellie tries, but Luke resists. May worries about where Brady might have gone to, while the Guardian wants to see the divine child. May locates Brady and finds a room that has a map of the city, the same room that Cloe found before she was taken away to the mines. KC lies to the Guardian about another apparition from Zoot, and the loony Guardian immediately works on finding a deeper meaning. He delivers Zoot's word to the others, saying that all children will be in the care of Chosen, leaving Ryan angry when Salene decides to join. Pride encounters two kids, Andy and Tally, on his way back to the city and helps them sort out the poisonous berries, only to end up in a trap orchestrated by the kids and Ned.

Pride is caught in a trap by Andy, Tally and Ned who try to rob him only to learn he has nothing valuable in his stuff. The Guardian is worried that his followers might think he's losing his grip so he orders Luke to increase the number of slaves. Ellie, Alice and Ryan worry about the future after they have learned of Patsy's sendoff. Luke is irritated when he learns KC intends to continue using the Guardian, but KC threatens Luke with revealing the truth about Trudy. Lex and Ebony go investigate the old Chosen warehouse, but they find nothing inside. Ryan goes crazy on a Chosen guard, but is stopped in time by Luke. Lex tries to sleep with Ebony again, to no success. Pride realizes that both Ned and his siblings are eating food behind each other's backs. Ned wants to sell Pride to the Chosen. Ellie and Luke end up in a nasty fight. KC is confronted by Fisheye. The Guardian is tempted to do something with Tai-San, so he sends her out to stop himself. Salene is frightened when one of the Chosen women tell her that Ryan no longer has any rights with the child and that he won't be able to see his baby once it's born.

Tai-San is dragged from bed to the Guardian's suit by Luke to talk about what happened. The Guardian apologizes to Tai-San for his outburst and they share a civil talk in which the Guardian actually admits he is lonely. Ebony and Lex are convinced that Pride won't be coming back. KC tells Fisheye about his position of power between the Chosen. May is confused when Salene admits that Ryan won't be able to see his child. Luke apologizes to Ellie for the fight they had. He promises to send a message to Jack from her. May tells Alice that she wants to join the rebels in the fight against the Chosen. Pride tries to confuse Ned, Andy and Tally. Alice worries that Ellie might be falling for Luke. Ryan wants the truth from Salene and she finally admits that she decided not to let him see his baby ever again. May informs Lex about the recent loss of Patsy. Tai-San tells Alice that her plan to get to the Guardian is working perfectly. An enraged Ryan goes to see KC to get the key to open his chains. Once he does that, he rushes to the Guardian's room and they fight like crazy until the guards stop Ryan, and he is taken away from the Mall, possibly forever.

The Guardian is excited about Ryan's attack, as he explains to Luke that he could have easily been killed had it not have been for his guards. Luke attempts to save Ryan's life, but the Guardian wants him killed. Salene is frightened after Ryan has been taken away, while Ellie is proud of Ryan taking a stand. Tai-San writes a letter to the Guardian, and remembers the happy times she spent with Lex. Salene is upset when Luke explains that Ryan was taken away to the mines, but he explains that this was the only way to save his life. Ellie is jealous when she sees Luke giving Salene a sympathy hug. KC tricks Fisheye into buying the only Zoot goggles existing. Ned, Tally, Andy and Pride all end up slaves to the Chosen. Tai-San sends the Guardian a note. May learns about Dal's death. She gives coordinates to important Chosen resources to the rebels, and they decide to blow up the fuel resort. Pride asks May to keep quiet about his work for the rebels. Bray, Ebony and Lex prepare the fuel dump to be blow up. Ebony ignites the fire accidentally and is shocked to learn that Bray is inside the building that is about to be blown up.

Bray, Ebony and Lex fight with the Chosen guards just as the dump is about to explode, and they all make their way out before the entire town is shocked by the explosion. Back in their HQ, the rebels toast to success. Salene is crying over Ryan's absence. Luke warns the Guardian that KC might be tricking him, but the Guardian doesn't see it that way. Ned continues acting obnoxious in front of everyone. The Guardian is pleased when another meeting with KC brings him to a stunning conclusion. Salene is impressed by Luke's kindness when she hears that Luke has been delivering messages to Jack. May inform the rebels that Pride is in the Mall. KC is confronted by his customers. Alice knocks out Ned. Salene prays to Zoot. The Guardian meets with Tai-San and comes to an amazing revelation.

Lex, Ebony and Bray take a wagon of pregnant women hostage and learn about the Chosen's decision to have all women and their children living under Zoot. Tai-San doesn't know how to respond to the Guardian's suggestion. Pride advises Tai-San not to get involved with the enemy. KC tries to use Tally in one of his scams, only to end up tricked by Tally and Andy, but they both agree to work with KC under their own terms. May is frustrated by the fact that Pride never stands up for himself in front of Ned. Luke asks Ellie to convince Tai-San not to become the Supreme Mother. Lex, Brady and Ebony watch the puppet in show in which they are portrayed as the bad guys and the Chosen are the good guys, so they decide to put up their own show, this time with the roles reversed. Ned is suspicious of May and Pride. Alice tells Ellie that Tai-San could work as a spy if she accepts the Guardian's proposal.

The Rebels learn about the upcoming coronation of a new Supreme Mother, and Lex is especially upset upon learning that it's one of the Mall Rats. Luke is confused when the Guardian talks about another strange dream. Alice tries to deal with Ned, but he gets worse every minute. The Rebels plan to take down the Guardian once and far all at the coronation. KC, Tally and Andy find a way to earn money. Luke is disappointed in Ellie not being able to convince Tai-San not to accept the Guardian's proposal. Lex admits to Bray that he didn't want to kill the Guardian when he had the chance. Pride finally stands up for himself in front of Ned. Ellie and Luke apologize to each other and kiss. Alice goes crazy on Salene for being stupid, and Salene suffers a nasty fall after trying to run away. Lex learns that his wife will be the new Supreme Mother.

Lex is furious after having learned that Tai-San is the new Supreme Mother. Bray is mad at Ebony for giving Lex the wrong advice on how to handle his situation. Alice is worried about Salene's health after the fall, and Ned doesn't make things better when he continues with his arrogant comments. KC explain to Tai-San how furious Lex was upon learning the news. May reveals to Tai-San that she is one of the rebels, and she decides to help out Tai-San in seeing Lex. KC deals with Andy and Tally in his own way. Luke tries to talk to Ellie about their kiss, but she doesn't want to. The Guardian lets Tai-San have a day out, but warns her not to trick him. With May's help, Tai-San successfully meets with Lex. Salene screams in pain when she realizes that she had lost her baby.

Tai-San tries to reason with Lex, but instead he wants to force her to come back to the rebel headquarters with him. In order to save herself, Tai-San calls the guards. Salene wants Luke to comfort her after losing her child. The Guardian notices that Luke has been spending a lot of time with the Mall Rats. Bray explains his doubts about using the crossbow to Ebony. Ellie is still avoiding Luke. Ned thinks he saved her from Luke so he tries to get a kiss, only to meet Alice's wrath yet again. Bray tells Ebony and Lex that they should see how Tai-San's plan pans out before they make their move. May is disappointed when Pride seems to be showing no affection for her. Tai-San admits to the Guardian that she saw Lex, but explains that she felt nothing for him. Andy and Tally get the upper hand on KC. Pride asks Tai-San to work with him for the rebels. Bray is surprised when he finds a calm Lex fishing. He shares the news with Ebony, but they're both left in shock after they realizes Lex was only pretending and that he left with the crossbow.

Tai-San has a nightmare of the Guardian being shot at the coronation by Lex. Bray and Ebony are worried about what Lex might do. Ebony follows Bray as he sets out to stop Lex before he does soemthing stupid. Alice learns from a reluctant Luke that Salene has lost her baby. Pride and Tai-San talk about dreams. Luke tells the Mall Rats that the Guardian has allowed for one Mall Rat to be set free as a special prize. Alice, Ellie and KC want to kick Ned out of the Mall but he won't go out knowing that they have something in plan. Instead, KC tricks Ned into leaving anyway. Tai-San tells the Guardian about her nightmare, but he refuses to stop the ceremony. Alice apologizes to Salene for causing her to lose her baby, but she's even more worried for Salene when she starts claiming that it was Zoot's will. The Mall Rats are disappointed when Ned is brought back to the Mall drunk. At the coronation ceremony, Tai-San is worried that something might go wrong. Bray realizes that Ebony was following him only because she wanted to stop him from bothering Lex. Lex takes aim at the Guardian and Bray rushes to stop him. Tai-San jumps in front of the Guardian just as Lex releases the arrow.

Ebony and Bray bring Lex back to the rebel headquarters and try to make him realize what happened, while the Chosen bring Tai-San back into the Mall. The Guardian is enraged over what happened and when Luke attempts to reason with him, he fires him. Lex thinks Tai-San is dead. Meanwhile, Tai-San begins recovering. Tally and Andy gamble with a novice and end up getting busted and ratting out KC, but KC protects himself. The Guardian visits Tai-San and begins preaching about the future and taking over the world. Salene is crushed over Luke's departure from the Chosen. Pride and Tai-San plot about the next move. Tai-San calls for Salene while Pride and May kidnap Brady. Luke tells Ellie about his plans to stay in the Mall and fight against the Guardian. Pride and May bring Brady to Lex, Ebony and Bray. Lex breathes easily when Pride informs him that Tai-San is alive and well. Amber and Trudy make a surprising return to the rebel headquarters.

Luke, Salene and Tally search for Brady, and end up locked up by the Guardian who is blaming them for what happened. The rebels celebrate a momentary victory over the Chosen. May, Lex and Ebony make sure that Trudy doesn't feel too welcome around them. Salene tells the Guardian that it was Tai-San who helped in snatching Brady, but the Guardian doesn't believe her. The Guardian fires KC. He is worried when even more troops continue deserting him, so he brings on praetorian troops. Bray thinks there's something going on between Amber and Pride. At the trial, Luke stands up and blames himself for everything, so the Guardian releases the others. The Rebels meet with other tribe leaders and things aren't going well until Trudy steps up and convinces them to join in the fight against the Chosen. The Guardian learns that someone helped Luke escape. Luke asks Ellie to go away with him. Amber tells Bray that she's pregnant and he makes the mistake of asking who is the father.

Ellie continues hiding Luke. He wants to reveal himself for her benefit, but she does not allow him. The Mall Rats realize that they need to escape from the Mall as soon as possible. Tally and Andy are worried about Ned, who seems to have gone missing. They form a bond with KC. Trudy tells Amber that she needs to understand what Bray must be going through. The Guardian confides in Tai-San about how Zoot used to torture him in high school. May can't hide her feelings for Pride, while Ebony seems to be all over him. Pride tells Bray that he never slept with Amber. Bray apologizes to Amber and they reunite. The Guardian is stunned when Zoot finally shows himself.

Bray is frustrated when Amber says that she doesn't know if bringing a baby into this world is a good thing. Alice offers to help Ned find a way out. Lex won't get off May's case. Bray asks Trudy to talk to Amber about the baby. Tai-San reluctantly agrees with another one of the Guardian's crazy plans. Trudy helps Amber understand why she needs to go through with the pregnancy. May interrupts Ebony's flirting with Pride. Ned and Alice are disappointed to find out they are nowhere near the exit. Ebony interrupts Amber and Bray's relaxing time with news of Lex's march towards the Mall. Salene is depressed when Luke admits that he loves Ellie. Bray insists on Amber sitting out the fight, but she won't settle down. The Guardian prepares the Mall Rats for the final challenge, as they all fear for their lives. Lex tries to get May and Trudy to stay behind, but Bray thinks every person counts. Alice and Ned finally find a way out of the Mall, but not before Ned ends up getting stuck in the hole. The Mall Rats realize that the Guardian plans to torch the Mall. They try to escape, but only KC makes it out and brings the others through a different passage. Luke tries to convince the Chosen guards to defy the Guardian. May kisses Pride before going into the fight. KC has a great idea. Just as it seems there is no rescue, Bray shows up dressed as Zoot and the Guardian falls to his mercy.

Bray poses as Zoot to confuse the Guardian, who turns into a lunatic after helping Tai-San prevent the bomb from going off. The Guardian is locked up and the Mall Rats celebrate their victory over the enemy. Ellie asks Luke to leave the Mall immediately and save himself, but he refuses to leave without her. Tai-San and Lex reunite without discussing what went on between the Guardian and Tai-San. Bray confides in Amber about missing Zoot. Salene is confused over what to feel now that the Chosen are no longer in control. Ebony decides to keep the Guardian safe so that she can put him on trial. Andy amuses himself by taunting the Guardian. Lex is worried when he sees Tai-San tending to the Guardian. He tries to attack him, but Ebony knocks him out before he can. Alice and Ned drink too much and end up between sheets together. Salene wants to jump off the roof after having lost everything she ever cared for, while Trudy, Bray and Tally attempt to convince her otherwise. It is Brady that finally prompts Salene to keep living. Bray and Amber wake up to learn that an angry crowd is outside the Mall requesting to take the Guardian.

An angry crowd led by Moz wants to kill the Guardian after everything he had done. Alice feels confused after a drunken night with Ned. Ellie is upset when Luke tells her that he wants to surrender and go on trial. Lex refuses to forgive May for her betrayal. May is sad over the fact that Pride intends to return back into the forest now that the battle with the Chosen is over. Amber and Bray try to talk to the Guardian, but it seems as if he's completely lost his mind. Trudy and Tally are happy that Salene has started to trust people again, all because of Brady. Lex asks KC and Andy to help him get revenge on May. Bray and Amber ask Tai-San to see if the Guardian is fit to stand trial. She reports back saying that he's completely crazy. The Mall Rats are disappointed when they learn that the Guardian won't go on trial. Luke stops the fighting by saying that they can put him on trial.

Jack fishes for food and continues his hike back to the city. Luke is locked up, leaving Ellie worried about his future. Lex accidentally reveals himself as the person that played a mean trick on May. Bray suggests that Amber should be the one to decide Luke's fate, but she has her reservations. Salene slowly tries to shake off the brainwashing that was done on her by the Chosen. Alice continues avoiding Ned. Tai-San is angry at Lex for what he had done to May. Ned and Lex get drunk together. Bray announces to the city folk that the Guardian isn't fit to stand trial, leaving Moz angry, but Ebony saves the day by announcing that Luke will be put in the Guardian's place instead. Lex apologizes to Tai-San. She isn't sure if they are still married. Amber decides to be the judge at the trial anyway, with Ebony taking the role of the prosecutor and Luke defending himself. Pride tries to talk to May, but she is too hurt to listen. At the trial, Luke pleads guilty but ends up being set free to live with the consequences of his actions. Moz is furious over the ruling. Ellie happily hugs Luke after the trial, just as Jack walks into the Mall.

Jack catches up on what happened to his friends in his absence. The Mall Rats aren't sure that setting Luke free was the best decision. Pride asks Amber to return to the Eco tribe, but she decides to stay in the Mall with Trudy. Pride leaves with a sad face on. Alice and Ned take a stroll down the city and learn that Moz intends to make up her own rules. Luke tries to apologize to Ebony, but she doesn't trust him. Ellie feels guilty for lying to Jack. Ebony sees Luke as he surrenders himself to Moz, and she decides to be his bodyguard. Alice and Ned become closer again. Bray goes out after Pride after May makes an observation, but Pride claims he has no idea where the girls might be. Ellie feels guilty over keeping secrets from Jack, while Jack worries about what is going on. Salene is worried that the Chosen might have a hand in kidnapping Amber and Trudy. Moz wants Bray and Pride to surrender the Guardian. Ellie is confused as to why Ebony saved Luke's life. Ebony wants to know why is Ellie so interested in Luke. The Mall Rats all have their own theories of who might have kidnapped Amber and Trudy. Pride tells May that he's back only temporarily, and she wants to go away with him. Lex gives Tai-San an ultimatum after he finds her cooking a meal for the Guardian. May thinks Lex might have kidnapped Amber and Trudy. Ellie tells Luke that she's going back to Jack, and Jack sees them holding hands. Lex is angry when Tai-San asks him if he had anything to do with the kidnapping. Jack questions Salene about what was going on between Ellie and Luke during his absence. Bray thinks that handing the Guardian over to the kidnapped would be something that Amber would not approve of, while Pride is surprised that Bray isn't ready to give the Guardian away since both Amber and the baby are in danger. Bray tries to make a decision while observing the Guardian and he's convinced that the man can't be helped, but when Bray leaves it seems as if the Guardian might just be putting on a show. Tai-San asks Lex to see for himself exactly how crazy the Guardian is. Ned, KC and Ebony gamble over Bray's decision. Bray decides to hand over the Guardian, and Ebony notes that Amber would be against the idea if she were in his shoes. KC surprises May by giving her flowers since she never got any in her life. Alice and Ned become closer. Jack prepares a special dinner for Ellie with KC's help, but the night is ruined when Ellie can't handle lying to Jack. She rushes to Luke's arms and tells him she loves him. Jack sees them kissing.

Ebony doubles her bet that Bray will choose not to give away the Guardian. Pride is worried as Bray explains that he will disguise himself as the Guardian in order to confuse the kidnapper. Jack feels lost in his life. Tally, Andy and KC plot to steal the Guardian's ring and sell it for a valuable price. Ned starts acting strangely when it comes to the Guardian. Ellie and Alice talk about their boyfriends and end up fighting over it. Ebony stays at the Mall to protect the Guardian, and KC uses his gambling loss as a laundry washer to distract Ebony as Andy tries to steal the Guardian's ring. The Guardian attempts to force Andy to give him the key, but continues pretending to be insane when Ebony returns. KC and Tally don't believe Andy's word. The Mall Rats leave to get Amber and Trudy and they trap the Mozquitos thinking they're the kidnappers, only to learn they have no idea of what is going on. Ellie reassures Luke that she loves him. Jack visits Dal's grave and bids farewell to the city again. Ebony is woken up by a strange sound during the night. She sees Ned putting up a ransom note and realizes he has been the kidnapper all along.

Alice and Ned enjoy their time as a couple, but Ned's mood changes when he realizes that someone has rewritten his ransom note. Pride feels like a fool for going along with Bray's plan. Ebony follows Ned to the place where he is holding Amber and Trudy hostage. KC hides the ring and promises to Andy and Tally that it's safe. Ellie wants to talk to Jack only to find out he's gone. Alice sees Ned accusing the kids of writing the ransom note. Luke asks Alice to talk to Ellie on his behalf, but the sisters only end up in another fight over their poor choice in men. Pride and Lex go searching at the casino, while Ebony goes to see Moz and tries to strike a secret deal with her. Pony Joe is jealous as Moon tends to Bray's wounds. Ellie is upset when her friends continue refusing to let Luke enter their tribe. Ebony wants to have a city sheriff to bring some order in the city and she nominates Lex for the job. Pony Joe recognizes Bray as the leader of Mall Rats. He talks to Bray and implies that he should leave. Ebony gives Luke the job of establishing money. KC is impressed when Salene manages to ride Apollo. Moon wants to begin a new life with Bray, but he chooses to leave anyway. Pony Joe doesn't give Moon the note Bray left her. Pride catches Ned trying to sneak off with food that Ned wanted to use to feed Amber and Trudy with, but Ned lies that it was a secret picnic for Alice. The Guardian threatens Andy yet again, but this time Ebony sees him and realizes he is sane after all. Bray returns to the Mall and informs Salene of Ryan's whereabouts. Luke begins making coins. Salene storms away on Apollo, ready to begin her search for Ryan.

Lex tries to make Andy feed the Guardian, but Andy refuses to go near that man again. Tai-San offers to start feeding him again, and Andy warns her to watch her back. Moz reveals to Ebony and others that Ellie wrote a side of the article that nobody knew. May apologizes to Pride and they kiss. Ebony tells Moz that they should choose a tribal leader for the city. Ned gives Ebony an ultimatum. The Guardian tries to attack Tai-San, but reconsiders at the last minute.

Ebony promises to deliver the goods if Ned takes the Guardian to Moz, and Ned reluctantly accepts the task. KC tries to return the necklace, but the trader won't do refunds and instead he gets KC into even more of a trouble. Alice and May admit that both of their love lives have taken a turn for the better. Ned's knocked out by the Guardian once outside the Mall. Bray gives an election speech to the city, but ends up losing his touch when he learns that the Guardian is no longer at the Mall. Pride suspects Ned, and Alice doesn't appreciate it. The Mall Rats realize that Bray's chances to win the election are slim to none, and Luke comes up with the idea of putting Ebony in her place. Ebony perfectly pretends not to care about the place, but she gives in to Bray's demands after he tells her that he believes she has changed for the better. Trudy helps Amber gain strength as they wait for their rescue. The Guardian promises to spare Ned's life if he reveals where Trudy is.

KC is surprised when Andy and Tally don't care about their brother's death because he disappointed them yet again, just like always in the past. Ebony saves Amber and Trudy from the Guardian. Alice is shocked to learn that Ned was the kidnapper all along. Amber is skeptical when Bray tells her that Ebony has changed. The voting for the city leader begins. Lex tries to score more points for Ebony. Alice goes to the farm to bury Ned. The votes are in, and Ebony is crowned as the city leader.

Ebony returns to her hotel and begins acting like a queen all over again. She puts Lex and Pride on duty to locate the Guardian. Ellie is worried about Alice not being able to cope with Ned's death. KC uses the Guardian's fame to profit. Luke has to bow down to Ebony's request for more money. Andy and Tally can't forgive Tai-San for causing more drama at the Mall. Amber and Tai-San tell Trudy that they are very suspicious of Ebony's behavior. Ebony works her charms on Bray and once he's gone, she continues working with Moz. Cloe convinces Jack to return to the Mall with her. Tai-San is approached by the Guardian.

Ellie is upset to learn that Jack is back. Luke feels uneasy when he realizes she still might have some feelings for Jack. Ebony threatens Luke into giving her more money.
