Victoria remembers her sad past and blames herself for having a forbidden love. Maria Desamparada meets Maximiliano who falls in love at first sight.

Maximiliano tries to serenade Maria, but instead gets a bucket of water thrown at him. Victoria faces father Juan Pablo and tells him that she was pregnant with his child. Bernarda looks for Victoria and berates her for telling the truth to Juan Pablo.

Antonieta and Pipino see Osvaldo and Linda together at a restaurant. Ximena appears and kisses Max in front of Maria Desamparada. Max tells Ximena that he does not love her and asks her to leave him alone.
