Warren se réveille après 2 ans passés dans le coma. Elle retrouve Murphy guéri qui lui apprend qu'ils sont à ZONA, une île paradisiaque sans zombies. Le reste de nos héros, restés sur le continent survivent tant bien que mal aux Z's et aux soldats de ZONA et entendent parler d'une zone sans zombies appelée "Newmerica".
