ASHAF is writing her personal diary wondering what Life is all about. She feels that life is like an unresolved puzzle, where you resolve one and immediately you face a new issue. She sounds pessimistic. On the other hand, ZAROON seems to have no complaints about life, except women. RAFIA (Kashaf's mother) is proud of the fact that Kashaf gave her best during her exams and is sure that Kashaf is going to get admission in the best University. Later, we see Rafia's husband MURTAZA, getting upset after she mentions some repair work at home. There is some unsaid tension between both. Uncle ABRAR jokingly tells JUNAID (Zaroon's father) to send Zaroon to the University as Uncle feels that Zaroon is a careless youngster who needs to be tamed under his supervision and guidance. Sara (Zaroon's sister) and her mother are very similar. Both are independent women. Sara is currently in a relationship with Farhan. Asmara likes Zaroon though Zaroon considers her just a friend. Rafia & Kashaf catch a bus for the university. Rafia runs towards the bus with a broken chappal in her hand. Kashaf watches this and wonders why her life is so miserable and will it ever change?

Zaroon and Asmara share common hatred towards Kashaf, somehow Osama likes her. Kashaf exactly knows the kind of guy Zaroon is, at least she think she knows. She is indifferent to him. Maria, like other girls of the college, is head over heels for Zaroon. Abrar requests Zaroon to just focus on studies and not on trivial things in the University like other students. Kashaf shares her turbulent first day with her sister. Zaroon seems to share the same feeling with his folks back home. Kashaf pens down her thoughts about rich kids like Zaroon and Asmara. She feels that God isn't kind to her. Zaroon feels the same for Kashaf, typing his thoughts about her. He feels that Kashaf is arrogant and full of herself. Their dislike for each other is mutual. Next day, Asmara sees Zaroon talking to some girls and is jealous. Back home, Zaroon supports Junaid about the way Sara dresses and carries herself. Gazala warns Zaroon not to interfere in Sara's decent lifestyle. In college, Osama stares lovingly at Kashaf. Murtaza's second wife is always taunting Murtaza and talks ill about Rafia. Gazala taunts Zaroon about his inquisitive, questioning nature which is like some middle class men. Junaid and Zaroon share a close father son moment with each other. They are surprised at Gazala's sudden business trip. Zaroon feels that his mother is neglecting her responsibilities. Junaid knows it, but he prefers being quiet about it. Zaroon is surprised. Asmara's parents talk to Junaid and Gazala for Zaroon and Asmara's alliance. Junaid assures them he will speak to Zaroon soon. At Kashaf's house, Murtaza break all ties with Rafia and his daughters when Rafia says no to the alliance from Murtaza's elder brother's son for Kashaf. Rafia is shaken, yet stands strong.
