Synopsis · "Red is a story of a daughter who asks for help from her family to break the stigma and taboos associated with menstruation. In Nepal, during that time of month, they are considered impure, discriminated and treated like untouchables. The practice that has been going on since time immemorial is now facing questions from younger generation of Nepalese who do not believe in any kind of discrimination. Breaking these taboos can be a major force for women empowerment."
