Definitely not as good but it's mine. This song makes people emotional.

7 years-Melody’s story Once I was 7 years old, my granny told me Go get yourself a life or you’ll regret it Once I was 7 years old.

It was a strange, strange world, I just couldn’t get it. Saw those lovers holdin’ hands kissin’ what are they doin’ ? By 11 someone told me where babies were comin’ I had to cry in that girl’s room, my heart was achin’.

Once I was 11 years old, My best friend told me Go get yourself a boyfriend that’s what we’re doing Once I was 11 years old.

I always had that fear that I would fall for someone, Holdin’ hands, watchin’ sunsets and then tell him I can’t. So I lost myself in the pile of books daddy bought me, I had to find my first crush in the lines of Peter Pan.

Once I was 20 years old, my heart was no gold, Been pushing myself to the limits with some false hope, Once I was 20 years old.

I’ve never been in love, I tell myself it’s a good thing But when I feel so low I wonder if part of me is missin’. Got no one’s time wasted, no one’s heart broken, It’s just that sometimes I have to hug myself to keep on goin’.

Now I’m 22 years old and I’m livin’ on my own, In this big city a small town girl never dreamt of. Now I’m 22 years old.

Soon we’ll be 30 years old, it’s not for me to judge But you start datin’ some guy I don’t like. Soon I’ll be 30 years old.

I’m still learning about life, Got my friends and family out there. You say go get someone to lean on, I tell you sorry I just can’t. I hope you love your life, Just as I also love mine. And if I don’t perish before your eyes I think I’m doing alright.

Soon I’ll be 60 years old, I’m still feeling 21, Walking with pride saying I’m not the lost one. But when the night falls, I’ve got a million Things undone, I’d be asking myself where my time has gone.

Soon we’ll be 60 years old, my stories got old, You’ve got some grandchildren but I’ve got none. Soon we’ll be 60 years old.

Soon I’ll be 60 years old, will I have achieved my goals Or will I make a fool out of these old bones Soon I’ll be 60 years old.

Once I was 7 years old, my granny told me Go get yourself a life or you’ll regret it Once I was 7 years old.
