He leaves one kidnapper bound, but the man escapes with a knife. In a moment of rage, Venom hurls him across the city. Hours later, an early newspaper claims the man was killed by goblins. Dismissing the report, Venom boards a subway train. The lights fail, and he is ambushed by an entire army of goblins. He fights them off until they unleash a coordinated sonic scream, blasting him from the moving car. Wounded and disoriented, he retreats to his hidden lair beneath the city streets.
