There is historic value in this movie, and american audience probably cherishes a well directed testimony of their difficult times of the 50's. The cinematography is truly good, the picture has a beautiful black and white look that seems out of a masterclass for lighting. However, the plot of the movie itself won't captivate the audience. Murrow seems unaffected by the risks involved and fails to lift the audience's engagement as the film progresses.
Good Night and Good Luck is an honest window opened through time and is worth seeing for this reason but doesn't provide much entertainment.
