Seeing the Moon

This work is the periodic record of traditional festival in South Korea held in February for a celebration of the first full moon of the year. To wish for a good harvest, people trust the mystic power of fire and moon specially focusing on its life force. People highly tie up straw in sheaves, ‘Dal-Gip’ (the house of the moon) and burn it later in the night as the main and the closing event of the festival.
