Stunning and touching dissection of grief. This works on so many levels and so many layers. Immediately one of my all-time favorites. the amount of detail and depth they’ve managed to fit into 7 episodes is incredible. I love animation, I love art. A must see.

Production alone makes me want to give it an 8. Several jaw-dropping scenes. Gorgeous, spectacular and magical. Problems arise from this movie's grandiose display. I don't know what I was expecting from the backrooms, but I'm pleasantly surprised. I think the web series already hints at the essence of memory and remembering in the backrooms itself. And this movie elegantly expands on these ideas whilst weaving more independent characters' narratives into it...
