Mego
1994 - 2005
Mego est un label viennois fondé par Ramon Bauer, Peter Meininger et Endreas Pieper. En 1995, Meininger a été remplacé par Peter Rehberg (a.k.a. Pita). Label incontournable de l'avant-garde, Mego a entre autres "légitimé" l'utilisation du PC portable et provoqué la naissance de l'"extreme computer music" dans l'esprit des journalistes... Pratiquement créé sur un coup de tête et sans plan de gestion prémédité, la structure a fini par connaître des soucis financiers qui culminèrent fin 2005, année qui voit le label s'éteindre. Mais seulement pour faire peau neuve et continuer en tant qu'Editions Mego, fondé le 1er janvier 2006 par... Peter Rehberg !
