I discovered them last year while talking to a friend. I listened to the first song, Baby Blue, and I was convinced to listen to the one he recommended: Long Season (live). Brother, it's one of the best musical experiences I've ever had. The song lasted 42 minutes and for 42 minutes I was in another universe. At the end I had tears in my eyes and I wondered if what I had discovered was real. It's really extremely rare that a piece of music or an album has such an effect on me. Of course, I've listened to this album many times, which I think is the best album of all time. They are the very definition of "live music" and this album is the perfect example. If you compare their first albums with their last live albums, there is a real evolution, they perfected their art until the end. If you dive into it, you won't be able to get away from it, for my part I have developed a real passion and admiration for this band. Their last album, in which this very long song appears, is the very culmination of what Fishmans are good at. They cover their greatest songs and do it wonderfully well, it is very clearly the peak of a career. Moreover, this album is at the origin of a farewell concert for their bassist who leaves the band. Finally, it will become a farewell for the whole band because the singer and main songwriter, Shinji Saro dies 3 months later. I stop there, I can't find better words to describe my love for this band.

Casiopea is one of my favorite bands, and this album is undeniably a masterpiece of live performance. It's a great introduction to Japanese jazz fusion, as well as a great album.
