S5 E1 • Home Away from Home
Jon gets mad at Garfield because he's being ungrateful, and sends him outside. While wandering around the neighborhood, an old lady picks Garfield up, mistaking him for ""her Fluffy."" Garfield goes along with her because she promises him a big meal, but she feeds him dry cat food! Then, the lady discovers a mouse in the house, and makes Garfield try to catch it. During the chase, Garfield finds the real Fluffy who ran away because of the horrible cuisine. So, Garfield and Fluffy make a deal with the mouse - they pretend to catch him, and they get real food as a reward.

S5 E3 • Odie the Amazing
While fetching a stick that Garfield threw, Odie accidentally picks up a magician's wand by mistake! As Odie runs around with the wand in his mouth, the magic causes strange things to occur (which Garfield soon notices.) Garfield figures out the powers of the wand, and becomes so excited with what he can do! But, will this be another example of that old saying ""easy come, easy go?""

Booker and Sheldon ask Orson to read them Rumpelstiltskin for a bedtime story because they have never heard it before. But they (and eventually Wade and Roy) end up changing the characters, and even parts of the plot, when it's not interesting enough for their tastes.

In order to get rid of a pesky magazine salesman, Jon buys a subscription to "Sponge Illustrated". However, he gets more than he bargained for when the salesman continually follows Jon around, trying to get Jon to renew his subscription. Will Jon ever be able to get rid of this pesky solicitor?

S5 E18 • Tooth or Dare
The local museum has just acquired an actual saber-toothed tiger for their new exibit. The tiger, not wanting to be caged up, devises a plan of escape. He takes tusks from another exibit and some industrial-strength adhesive and glues them into Garfield's mouth. Now the museum curators are after Garfield while the saber-toothed tiger is lounging in Garfield's house! Jon and Odie notice the difference, and call the police and the zoo to help rid them of the menace, but the tiger won't come out. Can Garfield catch the prehistoric predator and get his normal life back?

S5 E33 • The Garfield Opera
In a parody of Ponchielli's ""Dance of the Hours"", Jon forces Garfield to go on yet another diet. Going without breakfast, Garfield tries to get Odie's bone. When that fails, Garfield decides the best way to get food is to appeal to Ann McPherson, the chairwoman of ""a group that makes sure pets are not mistreated.""

S5 E35 • Once Upon a Time Warp
Roy owes Wade 5 dollars but everytime he tries to get it back Roy makes up an excuse. Meanwhile Orson is reading books again so everything changes with his imagination. Wade asks Orson for help so Orson starts reading but then Roy makes a rewrite so that bad stuff happens to them. Finally they read a book about space and Wade chases Roy in a rocket until he coughs up the cash.

S5 E37 • The Cartoon Cat Conspiracy
Garfield, fed up with how cats are depicted in traditional cartoons, sets out to make one of his own. The result, with Garfield performing every voice (including Jon, Odie, and Nermal), is accompanied by the sound of everyone in the country changing the channel at the same time after two minutes.

S5 E39 • The Picnic Panic
Garfield, Jon, and Odie go for a little hike in the mountains with a pinic lunch. Jon and Odie decide to jog for a while Garfield takes a nap. But when Garfield is taking a nap, some ants steal all the food, and Garfield is worried that Jon will blame him for the food's disappearence. So Garfield attempts to get back the stolen food before Jon finds out.

S5 E43 • Ghost of a Chance
Garfield's house becomes the target for a haunting, first McCraven, a small ghost who's about to lose his job unless he scares someone, tries his luck scaring Garfield. But after Jon's cooking, it takes something big to scare Garfield, like Diablo, a much bigger ghost who moves in and takes McCraven's job... and Jon's house. Garfield and McCraven team up to figure out a way to get Diablo out of the house and out a job.

S5 E44 • Roy Gets Sacked
Upon hearing Orson and the others discussing his behavior, Roy thinks that they're going to fire him and promptly leaves, looking for a spot on another show. Unfortunately, the only spot he's able to get is serving as foil to the Buddy Bears (and their sister, Betty Buddy Bear) again (see "Big Bad Buddy Bird").

S5 E45 • Revenge of the Living Lunch
A meteorite, mistaken as a fruitcake by all who hold it, makes everything around it come to life. When it eventually reaches Jon, he puts it in the refrigerator, where every item of food comes alive and revolts against Garfield.

S5 E49 • Jon the Barbarian
Jon has been very tied up at work, and decides to take a little break by going to the park with Garfield and Odie. While he is there, a wise guru notices Jon is not at peace and offers to take him on as a student. The man gets rid of all of Jon's earthly possessions, and Garfield begins to go crazy without TV and all the kitchen appliances. Garfield tries to calm himself down by taking a nap on Jon's bed which is now a pile of straw! The wise man believes that if one has true peace, he or she can sleep on a bed of straw. Since Garfield can sleep anywhere, the guru decides to model his life after Garfield's!
