Roxanne Delage is a Professor of Archaeology. She is married to Alexis, they have an 8-year-old daughter, Alma. One afternoon, she goes to a private house to review a Mayan mask. She wakes up several hours later, half naked near the corpse of a man.

Roxane risks everything by contacting Careco, the opponent of Pablo in the municipal election. She persuades him to help her to bring down the Ortiz family by attempting a final bluff: to make him believe that she made a copy of the letter. For Combas, it is a madness that puts Roxane in danger.
