S1 E6 • The Origin of the Mandarin
The Mandarin is a classic slant-eyed ethnic stereotype in the Fu Manchu tradition. Stark has his hands full dealing with his Asian adversary, but to make matters worse, his pals Happy and Pepper are on his case because they don't trust his bodyguard. There's plenty of combat footage between Iron Man and the Mandarin, and we find out where the Mandarin came from. Iron Man gets strapped to a spinning disk.
S1 E13 • Crimson Dynamo
Professor Venko, electrical genius, is in fact the feared Crimson Dynamo. Tony Stark draws Venko to the side of freedom, but the beautiful and deadly Black Widow arrives with one goal: Iron Man's death! When the Crimson Dynamo battles Iron Man and defects, the Black Widow's partner dons the Dynamo armor. The original Dynamo sacrifices his life so that Iron Man can defeat his evil counterpart.

S1 E25 • The Other Iron Man
Tony Stark is appearing before a congressional committee investigating the power of Iron Man. Before Stark can reveal anything, he has a heart attack. Eventually the newspapers let on that Stark and Iron Man are never seen together. In order to quash this rumor, Happy Hogan, Stark's assistant dons the armor. At the end of the segment the Mandarin thinking that Hogan is Iron Man, teleports him to his castle.
S1 E26 • Death Duel
Happy Hogan, substituting for Stark as Iron Man, has been captured by the Mandarin, teleported to the Mandarin's castle. Although he is still recovering from his heart attack, Stark leaves the hospital and enters his factory to build a stronger than ever suit of iron armor. Before leaving, Stark records all of his secrets and leaves them on tape in case he does not return. Stark as Iron Man leaves the States in a capsule now on its way to China and the Mandarin's castle.
S1 E31 • My Life For Yours
Happy Hogan wraps his car around a tree. Injured, he is abducted from his hospital bed by the Black Knight for use as bait. Iron Man, in close pursuit, follows the Black Knight to his castle in order to save Happy. In a cliffhanger ending, Iron Man dangles from a stirrup at a perilous altitude.
S1 E32 • Black Night's Gambit
Iron Man survives the high-altitude standoff with the Black Knight, only to get kicked around to the point of helplessness in a later fight. It's the fetching redhead Pepper who rescues him from disaster with the help of Tony Stark's zippy roadster, which Iron Man uses to recharge his battery. But in another cliffhanger ending, we wonder what's to become of Happy Hogan, about to undergo an experimental medical treatment with the Enervator.
