In the north of India there is a 'Toy Train'. A little narrow gauge diesel train at the foot of the Himalayas. It is in a constant fight with road traffic as it has to share its space with the cars in these mountains. We climb up to Ghum, at 2200 metres the highest station on this route.

The railway line that runs between Thessaloniki and the Turkish border, that was built by the Turks to provide transportation between Europe and Turkey. As we pass impressive mountains and through the valley of the river Nestos, we get un unexpected impression of this country.

S7 E9 • Greece: Peloponnese to Thessaloniki
The journey begins on the Peloponnese peninsula and the train follows a scenic route that goes through the mountains. The train stops for a while in Athens, in order to allow for further tour of archaeological sites. Then we continue along the Mount Olympus to Thessaloniki, where we see the most recent excavations.
