S1 E1 • A Priest in Trouble

Hae Il is a priest in a small town. He takes care of problems in the neighborhood, but things always get physical. He gets arrested while trying to stop a fraud case. He has to leave the neighborhood to avoid accusation. Meanwhile, Kyeong Seon who is a prosecutor is trying her best to make connections with her seniors.

S1 E2 • Hae Il Moves to Gudam

Hae Il leaves Yeosu and head to Gudam. He stays at the Catholic church of Father Lee Young Jun who is like a real father to him. Dae Young is a detective at Gudam Police Station. He goes out to support a local event, and protestors appear at the scene. Meanwhile, Hae Il walks by the scene and witnesses protestors getting beat up.

S1 E3 • Hae Il Meets Cheol Bum

Hae Il helps out the protestors at the ceremony and confronts Cheol Bum. Kyeong Seon gets a bribe from the accused of her case. New recruit Seung Ah joins Dae Young’s team and becomes his partner. Meanwhile, Jang Ryong and his men make a scene at the church.

S1 E4 • Father Lee's Death

Jan Ryong and his men are released without any penalty. Father Lee gets a call in the middle of the night. Next day, he is found dead at a mountain nearby. Hae Il requests an investigation, but the Gudam Police and the prosecutor refuse. Police announce that Father Lee was involved in various crimes, and Hae Il gets furious.

S1 E5 • Hae Il Investigates the Death of Father Lee

Hae Il is taken to custody for making a scene at the police station. Kyeong Seon lets him go and tells him to stop investigating. Hae Il goes to the hospital to take Father Lee’s body. However, Dae Young who was guarding the body stops him. Hae Il learns that Father Lee and Cheol Bum had problems regarding the consignment operation of the facility.

Hae Il meets the people who claim to be the victim of Father Lee’s crimes. He finds out that they were abetted by someone behind. With the gathered proof, Hae Il asks Kyeong Seon to reinvestigate the victims. Meanwhile, the Archdiocese acknowledges Father Lee as guilty and banishes him.

Hae Il goes to the ceremony where Cheol Bum gets awarded. He meets Cheol Bum and other officials who are related to the case. Cheol Bum tells Hoon Seok to do a background check on Hae Il. Hae Il holds a mass, but only a few people come to the church. Meanwhile, Dong Ja orders Cheol Bum to bring a new face into the game.

Cheol Bum tells Yong Moon to take over welfare facilities. The officials gather and plan their next move. Hae Il goes through Father Lee’s belongings.
