An original cross between village/little community secrets and brain (or at least psychic) damages as the recipe for the intrigue.
A great introduction.
Superb landscapes and an interesting choice for music tracks.
But one might only wonder what made the novel a good book. Probably the "harsh" writing, wich is impossible to convey here, leaving little material for 90mn of cinema and replaced with quality reconstitution.

Surprisingly, the film manages to make the moutain itself a character, and not only through the character speaking at it.
