i was really looking forward to this movie and i'm sadly pretty disappointed. to me, it feels like it failed everything it was trying to do. the characters are not introduced correctly so we don't get attached to and invested in them enough, so their emotions, doubts and all dont touch us the way it was probably intended.
the pitch itself fell pretty flat, and since i was hoping for a more lighthearted movie about childhood and friendship and growing up, i didn't really like it (but i guess this one is a me only problem !)
it had pretty cool visuals, especially landscapes, so there's at least that
