Critique :

''PYT'' est le sixième single consécutif extrait de l'album à succès Thriller de Janet Jackson à se classer dans le top 10. Il a également connu un succès variable à l'étranger.

Le producteur Quincy Jones a entendu la maquette de Jackson et a apprécié le titre, mais pas la chanson elle-même. Il a donc fait appel à James Ingram pour écrire ce qui allait devenir le ''PYT'' que nous connaissons tous, en remplacement de la version originale de Jackson.
