Critique :

Le deuxième single de Michael Jackson, extrait de son huitième album studio, Dangerous, raconte une romance idyllique.

Son clip, d'une durée de neuf minutes, était présenté comme un court-métrage réalisé par John Singleton. L'histoire se déroule dans l'Égypte antique et met en scène Eddie Murphy, Iman, Tommy ''Tiny'' Lister et Magic Johnson.

Alan Wright, du magazine Rolling Stone, considérait ''Remember The Time'' comme ''le morceau le plus léger de l'album''. Son succès commercial fut retentissant, notamment à l'international.

Dans son autobiographie ''Moonwalker'', Michael Jackson confie avoir pensé à Diana Ross, sa compagne de longue date et mentor, lorsqu'il a écrit cette chanson.
