''Rock With You'' était le deuxième single extrait de l'album Off the Wall. Écrit par le compositeur britannique Rod Temperton, qui a collaboré à la création de plusieurs chansons de Michael Jackson, dont le titre éponyme de cet album (classé 10e) et celui de Thriller (4e).

Le titre a connu un immense succès commercial, se hissant à la première place du Billboard Hot 100 début 1980 et devenant le quatrième plus grand succès de l'année 1980. Il a également rencontré un franc succès à l'étranger, atteignant la première place en Espagne et le top 40 en Nouvelle-Zélande, en Italie, aux Pays-Bas, en Australie et au Royaume-Uni.

En 2006, ''Rock With You'' est ressorti en single sur la compilation Visionary: The Video Singles.
