Critique :

Selon Internet, "Venice Bitch" a été saluée par la critique musicale dès sa sortie. Pitchfork l'a désignée comme leur "Meilleur Nouveau Titre", le critique Sam Sodomsky la qualifiant d'une des chansons les plus captivantes de Del Rey, différente de tout ce qu'elle avait écrit auparavant.

Del Rey "ne s'est jamais laissée aussi complètement emporter par une atmosphère, s'enfonçant profondément dans les grooves sombres et mélancoliques de la chanson". De même, Under the Radar l'a désignée meilleure chanson de la semaine, Christopher Roberts la qualifiant de chanson la plus intéressante de Del Rey et affirmant que "son côté hypnotique était indéniable".

Stereogum a également présenté le morceau dans son article "5 Meilleures Chansons de la Semaine", écrivant :
