I was a huge fan of The Office, and will still rewatch it from time to time as a "comfort show," but the creators somehow accomplished an unfunny reboot of the show. I thought they would do something where they keep some of the more deadpan humor, and change the concept, except it's almost the exact same concept. The only difference is they don't have a Michael Scott-like character. And while the character of Michael Scott would not work in 2025, you need someone who is immediately a bit insufferable for the audience to warm up to the other characters in this format.
