Vu sur TF1.
Stupid but not even laughable, even while watching Tahar Rahim being a classy mean "anti-Spider-man".
None of the actresses nor him manage to make that long wandering moment a bit fun. And the backgrounds make it hard to watch.
All of that would be inoffensive (the sole fact it's under 2hours long compared to most of its comrades!), was it not for the terrible extended final showdown almost entirely made in terrible C.G.I.* and the conclusion that makes the whole movie look like a failed pilot for yet another super-heroes (less) comic-book based TV show about a team (like all those 2010s CBS series).
One of the few good things, the lack of hard nods to the main star of the brand, is even spoiled later in the film, wich gives it even more an air of failure.
Score: 3,5/10
Enjoyment: 2/5
The positives: Rahim's paycheck (I suppose) & Rahim's stillborn Hollywood career (I'm sure).
Was the forest scene trying to be some kind of Predator moment?
*In fact, all US films based on superhero comics or their spin-offs… they’re bound to end with a long, very long scene featuring a garish green screen full of shoddy CGI for the special effects, don't they?
It’s ugly, stuff drools over everything, and nothing looks real (I can understand it for visions, but it’s the same for scenes set in urban landscapes, forests, or whatever else).
