What did I just watch?
I’ve seen weird and f’ed-up movies, but this one is something else. For it to be awarded the Palme d’Or at Cannes is a mystery to me.
I truly missed the plot and the appeal.
To be honest, I’m not a massive fan of the horror genre, as I find it grotesque and gory for the sake of gore most of the time, but in this case I don’t even know if it’s the genre or Ducourneau’s films that fall into that category for me (I wasn’t impressed much by Raw either…).
Shame about the cinematography and photography, because I really liked those, though.
