Fansub vu sur Anime-ultime.

Exciting and fun at times, for a simple series of turnabouts, a few very good ideas (notably the full reimagining of Ashura), nice throwbacks at the original manga and references to Great Mazinger.

But:

- this wasn't the new/true Mazinger, this was "Baron Ashura & Nishikiori Tsubasa the show" (to a fanatic extent),

- it became some kind of soap-opera,

- Too many flashbacks,

- No place for the (old) heroes,

- Poor drawings, mediocre animation (despite the name's aura),

- 26eps, with half one being a summary and the first one being a preview videoclip, and yet they were able to end the series without any sense of resolution?! As much as this finale was exciting, the outcome made it look like nothing more than a mid-series episode cliffhanger.
